What's Going On?
Small update here. Crucible has gone out, but I've been clueless on it - I discovered Fallout 3 and have obsessively been playing for the last ... month? Nearly that long.
My first-pass comments (since I've had to log in to change skill queues, at the least):
* The new font still looks BUTT UGLY to me.
* Engine trails are so, so nice
* The new nebula/backgrounds are beautiful
Finally, why do I still have to set my client settings for EACH account I login with? Why can't I just set them once for the entire client, regardless of what account I login with? When you have five accounts this gets really annoying.

I found the font significantly easier to read, and for that I'm grateful :)
I agree regarding the account settings! Their should be certain settings that are per account and certain that apply to the client. Alternatively a settings manager that allows you to copy the settings of one client/account combination to others... that'd be nice.
I like the new font, myself:
No, it's not as "sci-fi-stylish" as the old one--although, in a way, it kinda is, think some older 1970s/80s sci-fi shows and movies--but infinitely more readable, I no longer have to lean in right close to the screen to try and make some things out, and still find myself guessing between 5/S, 0/O, 6/G, etc.
In this case, I think CCP quite rightly chose to let take a back-seat to functionality/utility, and the engineer in me--not to mention my eyes!--approve heartily of this.
Caldari space, deep Minmatar low/nullsec, and Cloud Ring/Outer Ring nebulae: Oooooooh, so lovely :) The Gallente space one is trying a bit too hard for my tastes, though.
Unfortunately, trails can only be seen if your shader settings are at Medium+, which my increasingly archjaic GPU simply doesn't like (my already not-too-great frame-rate is literally halved by this setting), but during low-load "safe" times, I occasionally turn it up, and just marvel in it. I especially like how when you first enter warp (during the "engine-pulse"), you leave a big trail-streak--it reminds me of a big old Mopar muscle-car laying rubber off the line :)
