JerkTengu Down, Part II
I got shot at by what appeared to be a multi-boxing fleet of four characters. I came back in my Tengu. They had points, webs, and Neuts. The Tengu melted instantly.
As with my first Tengu loss, this happened because I was far too confident. The Tengu is a great tool for a very specific job: Quickly getting to and dispatching carebears who don't know you're coming.
The Tengu is also far too expensive for what it does. I have mentioned a few times in Ninja Alliance that I'm working on a new ship class... It's going to be the Sacrilege, and by my calculations it should do the same job as JerkTengu for less than 1/10th the price.
My net value stands at close to 10 billion ISK now with not much to spend it on, so it's not that I can't replace JerkTengu... it's just that at that price, who would want more of them showing up on lossmails?
R.I.P. ... sorry to hear that your griefmobile died. I hope you get a new one soon and continue tear-milking.

I'm very curious to see what your sacrilege fit ends up looking like. Since you mentioned it, I took a while tonight to try to make up one (using all V as a baseline) with comparable abilities to the tengu. I can make one that's faster, locks quicker and does comparable damage, but I'm having a heck of a time making one with a comparable amount of defense, particularly active defense. Looking forward to it.
A Sacrilege with a cap booster, two MARs, and proper resists would easily outrep JerkTengu (even without faction mods), while keeping identical DPS with the help of drones.
